UPPSC is the state Public Service Commission’s prestigious exam to recruit candidates for state public services. UP PCS also conducts the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate examination. UPPSC Selection Process 2023

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will be conducting the first stage of the UPPSC selection process, i.e. the Prelims, on 14th May 2023. Thus, only the candidates fulfilling the UPPSC PCS eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear in the entire PCS selection process.

The UPPSC selection process begins with the online application after the annual release of the UPPSC 2023 Notification. The application process started on 3rd March and will close on 6th April 2023. The candidates will have to first appear for Prelims which will be the first stage in the selection process. Once the candidates are through this stage, the qualified candidates will be called for the second stage of Mains examination followed by an Interview.

UPPSC UPPSC 2023 Prelims Exam–Stage I

UPPSC Prelims exam is the first stage of the UPPSC UPPCS exam. The UPPCS Prelims exam is an objective type exam conducted offline across the state. The UPPCS Prelims exam is a screening exam and the marks secured in the UPPCS Prelims exam is are not considered for the final merit. The candidates need to qualify only in the UPPSC prelims exam. The second paper is only qualifying in nature and the marks secured in the Aptitude paper is not considered for the UPPSC Prelims merit list.

The UPPCS main exam is the most important stage of the whole exam process. The UPPSC UPPCS main exam is a conventional essay-type exam conducted offline across the state at one or two exam centres only. UPPSC Interview Selection 2023: Interview

The candidates who qualify in the Prelims and Mains are selected to participate in the Interview stage of the UPPSC Selection Process 2023. The interview is the final stage of the selection criteria, and the candidates are finally selected on the basis of their Interview scores along with the scores obtained in Mains.

  • The Interview stage of the UPPSC selection process carries 100 marks.
  • At the time of the interview, applicants must bring all original certificates.
  • All credentials are checked at this time, as are all statements made by the applicants.
  • The UPPSC interview is undertaken by the interview boards that have been created specifically for this purpose.

Following the UPPSC interview, a final merit list is generated by combining the main exam scores and the interview score. As a result, the final merit list is created, with the last candidate’s marks serving as the cut-off for all other candidates.
