It is with deep sorrow that we at LotusArise IAS learned of the passing of Himanshu Sharma Sir in September 2026.
For countless Geography Optional aspirants, Sir was more than a teacher. He made the subject clear, gave students confidence, and knew how to turn a difficult syllabus into something they could manage and even enjoy. He believed his students could succeed, and he kept believing it after they had started to doubt themselves.
We were privileged to work alongside him. What stood out every time was how much he cared about the students on the other side of the screen. That care is what made him a mentor and not only an instructor.
His lessons will stay with every aspirant he guided. Some of them will one day serve this country as administrators, and that will be part of what he leaves behind.
