Even though normal rainfall resumed after the year 2000, the lake remained nearly dry.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lake Victoria<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It is located at the border of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania on the African continent.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>River Nile originates from Lake Victoria and drains into the Mediterranean sea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Victoria Lake is the largest tropical lake in the world and one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world by area.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its area is 26,828 square miles (69,484 square km).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Among the freshwater lakes of the world, it is only behind the Lake Superior of North America.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its waters fill a shallow depression in the centre of the great plateau that stretches between the Western and Eastern Rift Valleys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Oguta Lake<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It is a lean \u2018finger lake\u2019 formed by the damming of the lower Njaba River with alluvium.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is the largest natural lake in Imo State, Southeastern Nigeria;
