      • Unified Payments Interface or UPI is a real-time payment system\u00a0developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)<\/strong>\u00a0that enables instant money transfers between two bank accounts using a mobile platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Launched\u00a0in\u00a02016<\/strong>, UPI revolutionised the digital payments landscape by\u00a0allowing users to transfer funds instantly, 24\/7, through mobile apps\u00a0<\/strong>using just a\u00a0Virtual Payment Address (VPA)<\/strong>, which negates the need to share sensitive bank details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Hence, among the countries mentioned in the question,\u00a0only<\/strong>\u00a0three<\/strong>\u2014the\u00a0United Arab Emirates, France, and Singapore\u2014officially support UPI for international merchant payments. Germany and Bangladesh do not currently have UPI integration.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        9. NRIs:<\/strong>\u00a0Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in countries like Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE, UK, and USA can use UPI to make INR transactions in India through their registered overseas mobile numbers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
