the farmers by the intermediaries<\/strong>\u00a0known as<strong>\u00a0Zamindars.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The share of the government in the total land revenue collected by the zamindars was kept at<strong>\u00a010\/11<sup>th<\/sup>,<\/strong>\u00a0and the remainder going to zamindars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system was most prevalent in\u00a0<strong>West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, UP, Andhra Pradesh
