Everyone was welcome to come and eat in the community kitchens (<strong>langars<\/strong>), regardless of their caste or creed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guru Granth Sahib, the renowned Sikh text, contains his teachings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He taught about&nbsp;<strong>God\u2019s unity<\/strong>&nbsp;and fiercely condemned<strong>&nbsp;idol worship, pilgrimages,&nbsp;<\/strong>and other formal religious observances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He called for a medium road in which a spiritual life could coexist with domestic responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One of his famous quotes was,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAbide pure amidst the impurities of the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He intended to blur the lines between Hindus and Muslims in order to foster a climate of peace, friendliness, and reciprocal giving and taking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guru Nanak was venerated by both<strong>&nbsp;Hindus and Muslims<\/strong>&nbsp;throughout his lifetime on Earth, and many people outside of the&nbsp;<strong>Sikh faith<\/strong>&nbsp;still hold him in high regard today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Dadu Dayal\">Dadu Dayal (1544-1603)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dadu worked as a cotton cleaner for a living. He was born in Ahmedabad, India, around 1544 to Brahmin merchant parents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lodi Ram<\/strong>&nbsp;was his father\u2019s name. He lived during the conclusion of&nbsp;<strong>Akbar\u2019s reign&nbsp;<\/strong>and at the start of Jehangir\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He was a&nbsp;<strong>Kabir devotee&nbsp;<\/strong>who thought that God is independent of all religions and sects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He was a contemporary of Akbar, the Mughal emperor, and it is stated that Akbar held him in high regard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He was born in<strong>&nbsp;Gujarat<\/strong>&nbsp;and went to Jaipur later.
