The dances are accompanied by the musical instrument called the \u2018Meddale\u2019, which is played by the drummer positioned in the centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tarpha Nach<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2018Tarpha Nach\u2019 or \u2018<strong>Pavri Nach<\/strong>\u2018 is the dance of the Kokna tribals native to the hilly regions of the\u00a0<strong>north-west India.<\/strong>\u00a0These dances derive their names from the wind instruments of \u2018Tharpa\u2019 or \u2018Pavri\u2019, which are made of dried gourd, played during the dance performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During the dance performance, the performers stand in a close formation, holding each other by the waist, and then dance to the tune played by the wind instruments, gracefully. The dances are performed by men alone as well, who form pyramids or rapidly revolve a dancer round a stout pole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tera Tali (Rajasthan)<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Native to the\u00a0<strong>\u2018Kamar\u2019 tribe of North West India<\/strong>, Tera Tali is performed by two or three women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The performers sit on the ground while performing the Tera Tali, which is an elaborate ritual, followed in the region. Small metal cymbals called \u2018Manjiras\u2019 are tied to different parts of the body, mostly on the legs, of the dance performer. The dancers hold the metal cymbals in their hands and strike them in a rhythmic manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tippani dance<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Tippani dance<\/strong>\u00a0originated in the Chorwad region of Saurashtra.
