class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>India and the US have\u00a0<strong>signed<\/strong>\u00a0Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The main purpose of COMCASA is\u00a0<strong>to facilitate military relations, communications and the exchange of valuable technologies.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>COMCASA is meant\u00a0<strong>to provide a legal framework for the transfer of communication security equipment from the US to India<\/strong>\u00a0that would facilitate\u00a0<strong>\u201cinteroperability\u201d between their forces<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 and potentially with other militaries that use US-origin systems for secured data links.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Highlights of COMCASA agreement:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>COMCASA is an India specific agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The agreement is for 10 years and it comes into effect immediately.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India will have full access to relevant US equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There will be no disruption in supply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indian Navy will have access to
