This initial gathering paved the way for the establishment of the Council of Turkic States in 2009, with\u00a0<strong>Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan joining Turkey<\/strong>\u00a0as founding members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hailed as the \u201c<strong>first voluntary alliance of the Turkic states in history,<\/strong>\u201d the forum was further elevated to the more formal structure of the Organisation of Turkic States during the Istanbul summit in 2021.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its four founding member states are\u00a0<strong>Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During the 7th Summit held in Baku in October 2019,\u00a0<strong>Uzbekistan\u00a0<\/strong>joined as a full member.\u00a0<strong>Hungary received observer status<\/strong>\u00a0at the Organization during its 6th Summit in Cholpon-Ata,\u00a0<strong>Kyrgyz Republic<\/strong>\u00a0in September 2018. And in lately in the 8th Summit held in November 2021,\u00a0<strong>Turkmenistan<\/strong>\u00a0joined as an\u00a0<strong>Observer Member<\/strong>\u00a0to the Organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
