Some examples of Forced Labour include<strong>\u00a0Begar, Bonded Labour, etc.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Begar<\/strong>: The term \u2018<strong>begar<\/strong>\u2018 refers to a peculiar form of forced labor that was prevalent in India during the time of the\u00a0<strong>Zamindari System.<\/strong>\u00a0Under it, the local zamindars used to force their tenants to render services\u00a0<strong>without any payment or remuneration.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following laws enacted by the Parliament prevent and punish various forms of forced labor:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976,<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum Wages Act, 1948,<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contract Labour Act, 1970,<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Equal Remuneration Act, 1976.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exception<\/strong>: An exception to this provision is that the state can impose compulsory service for public purposes\u00a0<strong>such as military service<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>social service, etc<\/strong>, for which it is not bound to pay.
