class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Ninth Schedule of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lotusarise.com\/upsc-notes\/constitution-of-india\/\">Indian Constitution<\/a>\u00a0contains a\u00a0<strong>list of central and state laws which cannot be challenged in courts.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It was added by the\u00a0<strong>Constitution (First Amendment) Act, 1951.<\/strong>\u00a0The 13 laws were added to the schedule through the first Amendment in 1951.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lotusarise.com\/schedules-of-the-indian-constitution-upsc\/\">Ninth Schedule<\/a>\u00a0was added to the Constitution in 1951 through the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lotusarise.com\/important-amendments-in-indian-constitution-for-upsc\/\">First\u00a0Amendment\u00a0Act<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in response to the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in the\u00a0<strong>Shankari Prasad case(1951)<\/strong>, which had ruled that laws enacted by the\u00a0Parliament\u00a0could be challenged if they violated the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Ninth Schedule is a special provision in the Constitution of India that allows the legislature to\u00a0<strong>exempt certain laws from judicial review\u00a0<\/strong>through a constitutional amendment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Ninth Schedule was brought by adding new\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lotusarise.com\/inshorts\/article-31b-of-indian-constitution-upsc\/\">Article 31B<\/a><\/strong>, which along with\u00a0<strong><a
