The concept of\u00a0\u2018equality before law\u2019\u00a0is an element of the concept of\u00a0\u2018Rule of Law\u2019. This concept has the following three elements or aspects:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Absence of arbitrary power\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equality before the law, that is, equal subjection of all citizens to the ordinary law of the land\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The constitution is the result of the rights of the individual\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>first and the second elements are applicable to India<\/strong>. This means\u00a0\u2018<strong>equality before law\u2019\u00a0under Article 14 connotes the absence of arbitrary power with the authorities<\/strong>.
