Key Objectives of the Seed Village Program are-\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increasing the seed production,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing the seed replacement rate,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organizing seed production in cluster\/compact areas, replacing existing local varieties with new high yielding varieties,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-sufficiency and self-reliance of the village in terms of quality seed production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To meet the local demand and timely supply of quality seeds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Financial assistance<\/strong>\u00a0for distribution of foundation\/certified seeds is available for up to one acre per farmer, These seeds are distributed at\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>a)<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>50% of seed cost for cereal crops and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>b)<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>60% for pulses, oilseeds, fodder and green manure crops<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The assistance will also be given to<strong>&nbsp;train the farmers<\/strong>&nbsp;on seed production and seed technology @ Rs.&nbsp;<strong>15000\/- for a group of 50-150 farmers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the encourage farmers to develop\u00a0<strong>storage capacity<\/strong>\u00a0of appropriate quality,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assistance @ 33% subject to a maximum of&nbsp;<strong>Rs. 3000\/- for SC\/ST<\/strong>&nbsp;farmers and @ 25% subject to maximum of Rs. 2000\/- for other farmers for procuring seeds storage bin of&nbsp;<strong>20 qtl. capacity<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistance @ 33% subject to maximum of&nbsp;<strong>Rs. 1500\/- to SC\/ST farmers<\/strong>&nbsp;and @ 25% subject to maximum of Rs. 1000\/- for other farmers for making seeds storage bin of&nbsp;<strong>10 qtl. capacity<\/strong>&nbsp;in the seed villages where seed village scheme is being implemented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implementing agencies<\/strong>:\n<ul
