shoot down short, medium, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles in their terminal phase<\/strong>&nbsp;(descent or reentry)&nbsp;<strong>by intercepting with a hit-to-kill approach<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>THAAD was developed after the experience of&nbsp;<strong>Iraq\u2019s Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War in 1991<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The THAAD interceptor&nbsp;<strong>carries no warhead, instead relying on its kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming missile.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>THAAD is coupled with&nbsp;<strong>space-based and ground-based surveillance stations,<\/strong>&nbsp;which transfer data about the incoming missile and inform the THAAD interceptor missile of the threat type classification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This (THAAD).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"iron-dome-system-of-israel\">Iron Dome System of Israel<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is a&nbsp;<strong>ground-to-air defence system<\/strong>&nbsp;that comprises radar and interceptor missiles that are capable of tracking and neutralising any rockets or missiles fired towards targets in Israel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It was developed by the state-run&nbsp;<strong>Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries<\/strong>&nbsp;and was deployed in 2011.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is
