And also found in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are found in<strong>&nbsp;hot and humid areas.&nbsp;<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Precipitation: &gt;250 cm&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mean annual temperature &lt;25 degree Celsius&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Humidity &gt;80%<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tropical evergreen forests are&nbsp;<strong>well stratified,<\/strong>&nbsp;with layers closer to the ground covered with&nbsp;<strong>shrubs and creepers<\/strong>, followed by short&nbsp;<strong>structured tree<\/strong>s and<strong>&nbsp;a tall variety of trees.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trees can reach up to a height of<strong>&nbsp;60m or above.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are&nbsp;<strong>rich in biodiversity<\/strong>&nbsp;(Rich in&nbsp;<strong>flora<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>fauna<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fine-grained and durable timber&nbsp;<\/strong>is produced in these forests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Important Species&nbsp;<\/strong>found in these forests:&nbsp;<strong>Rosewood, Mahogany, Aini, Ebony, Mesa, White cedar, Jamun, Canes, Gurjan, Agar, Bamboo,<\/strong>&nbsp;etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The common&nbsp;<strong>animals<\/strong>&nbsp;found in these forests are<strong>&nbsp;elephants, monkeys, lemur, and deer.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>one-horned rhinoceros are found in the jungles of Assam and West Bengal.
